KRP Coronavirus Response

Coronavirus pandemic: The KRP team is here to serve you in uncertain times

KRP Coronavirus Response

As the coronavirus crisis has escalated in Canada and around the world in recent days, the KRP LLP team has been closely monitoring the situation. Our thoughts are with you, your family and your employees at this challenging time. We wanted to take the opportunity to share our plan to continue providing the same quality service you’ve come to expect from KRP.

While we’ve yet to be directly affected by this outbreak, we’re treating the situation with the utmost seriousness. We’ve taken several proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of our staff and clients. We have:

  • Eliminated all business travel
  • Paused in-person client meetings and staff visits to client sites from March 16th until at least the end of March, at which point we’ll be evaluating the situation and revising our policy accordingly
  • Allowed staff to work remotely, and have asked them to self-isolate if they’ve recently travelled or display flu-like symptoms
  • Enhanced our digital file transfer capabilities and procedures to ensure service continuity

Our top priority is the health and safety of our clients, staff, partners and their families, as well as the community at large. Our focus is ensuring that our business practices remain flexible and adaptable as the situation evolves. To date, we have not experienced any confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 amongst our staff.

Our partnership group is meeting daily to discuss the latest COVID-19-related developments. We are actively seeking and applying the guidance of medical professionals and government organizations such as Health Canada and various provincial authorities.

Despite these unusual circumstances, we’re dedicated to providing uninterrupted service to your organization. We have continuously invested in secure digital technology that allows us to work off-site as needed. We regularly test these systems to ensure their effectiveness and we are fully confident in their ability to enable us to continue operations as normal.

We fully understand that for most of you, the current business disruption is unprecedented. The COVID-19 pandemic may yet exceed the financial crisis of 2008-09 in terms of its impact on your business. But rest assured, we’ve faced challenging situations before and have overcome them. This one is no different.

We consider ourselves a partner in your success and we fully appreciate the challenges you’re currently facing. That’s why we’re committed to helping you mitigate risk, maintain business continuity, restore bottom-line performance and return to growth as this crisis eventually subsides. This process will take time, but our team will be providing insights and expertise every step of the way to help you overcome the many hurdles that lie ahead.

As we move forward, we’ll keep you updated on changes to KRP’s office policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients and other partners.
