Luba Shegelman

Luba graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics and Business in 2005. She joined our firm the same year and has been an integral member of the KRP team ever since. She earned her CGA designation and became a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 2014.

Luba provides accounting and business advisory services, including tax planning, to clients across different industries. She manages compilation and review engagements, while liaising directly with clients with whom she’s built strong, lasting relationships over her more than 20 years with the firm. Luba’s dedication goes beyond simply delivering services—she is committed to providing clients with ongoing support and putting their needs first. Luba also assists in establishing and maintaining the firm’s quality control standards, while occasionally training our accounting team on new policies, processes and software tools.

“We have an open and approachable culture which enables us to work as a team to provide quality service to our clients,” Luba explains when asked what makes our firm’s culture unique. “You don’t necessarily see that level of camaraderie at other professional services firms, which makes KRP a special place to work at.”

Away from the office, Luba enjoys painting and spending time with family and friends. An avid traveller and hiker, Luba and her husband try to take a major trip every year. So far, they have visited many of the National parks in Canada and the U.S., with plans to tick more must-see destinations off their list in the coming years.
