Alexander Goldman

When Alex graduated summa cum laude from York University with a degree in accounting—later earning his Chartered Professional Accountant designation—he was introduced to the KRP team and was instantly intrigued by the complex tax work they managed. He sat down with Co-Managing Partner Armando Iannuzzi shortly after, and the rest is history. His first and only career job in the industry, Alex has been growing with the firm since 2019.

As a Tax Manager, Alex provides strategic advice to our clients and manages our fast-growing tax team. His role includes overseeing an ever-changing portfolio of Canada Revenue Agency compliance actions, liaising and negotiating with the Canada Revenue Agency’s many internal divisions, and preparing tax-efficient personal, corporate, and estate reorganization plans. Working in such a dynamic sector requires Alex to constantly learn and stay a step ahead of the latest Canadian tax legislation. He’s earned a reputation for keeping our clients informed of changes affecting their personal and professional tax situations. To further his education, Alex recently completed the multi-year in-depth tax program and plans to delve deeper into the corporate reorganizations and estate planning areas of practice through CPA Canada’s suite of extracurricular in-depth tax courses.

When he’s asked to reflect on the more unique aspects of KRP’s service offering, Alex points to the accessibility of our partners and managers. “That’s where we differ greatly and I find it to be of great value to our clients, because they know they can talk to the most seasoned professionals in our organization at a moment’s notice,” he explains. “The reality behind the scenes is that we go to great lengths to make sure that clients walk away satisfied and in full confidence that their tax and accounting needs are being met. We’re not just doing the job; we’re making it our mission to maximize the service value they take away.”

Away from the office, Alex splits his time between personal fitness, gaming, pouring over graphic novels, and indulging in zany animated TV series. Each year he makes time to travel with his brother, with their recent adventures taking them to destinations as far-flung as the Galapagos Islands and Morocco.
