Vazken Izakel

Partner (Retired)

Vazken Izakel is a partner (retired) at KRP, serving as a financial and business consultant in accounting and taxation at the firm for more than 20 years.

Before starting his career at KRP, Vazken amassed international experience working for accounting firms based out of the Middle East and the United States. Formerly, he worked for Touche Ross in Los Angeles. Vazken valued the small-firm environment at KRP, particularly the collaborative atmosphere and the opportunity to work with a wide range of entrepreneur clients.

Vazken has a keen interest in social enterprise and has considerable experience working with not-for-profit organizations, pension plans, trust funds and unions. He has shared his industry expertise by writing about business and accounting standards for Law Times, an Ontario-based legal publication.

Vazken volunteers his time and expertise to the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, running tax clinics for the disabled and the elderly. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two daughters.

In addition to his CA designation, which he earned in 1989, Vazken holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the American University of Beirut. A native of Lebanon, he is a fluent speaker of Arabic and Armenian.
